Azhar is an audit partner in the financial services team at PKF. He has audit clients primarily in the payment services and electronic money sectors.

Azhar has worked in the payments sector for over a decade. He heads up the PKF payment services team. As well as leading audits, he provides regulatory advisory services.

Recent regulatory advisory engagements include; working with an electronic money institution to prepare a safeguarding systems and controls manual at the request of the FCA; advising a payment institution which had persistently breached the minimum capital requirements and as such became subject to a FCA enquiry and assisting with the completion of a number change in control applications for a payment services firm that was accepting major new investors.

Alex is a lawyer with over 20 years experience in law, banking, risk and financial services. Alex has worked as a Head of Compliance, Risk, Legal and a Money Laundering Reporting Officer at a number of financial institutions in the UK and Europe, including FX, Investment firms and banks. He has also worked as a financial services consultant in a number of areas including banking, investments, payments, electronic money, crypto and asset management.

Alex's academic background also includes a Master Degree in EU Law and Politics, an International Diploma in AML, an Investment Compliance Diploma, and a number of other certifications in Investment Operations and Administration, Advanced Operational Risk, Risk in Financial Services, Corporate Finance Regulation, Crypto, GDPR and others. Alex is also involved in a number of academic activities, mainly around exam editing/review for the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment London in areas of Regulatory Compliance, Cyber Security, Global Compliance and Financial Crime Prevention and recently the University of Beijing.

Tristan was previously at Marsh, where his key responsibilities included relationship management, service delivery, global network coordination, and business development.
